A Christ-centered approach to intentional living

I am His

I am provided for
I am safe
I am upheld in His arms
I am satisfied
I am blessed
I am delighted in
I am not forsaken
I am preserved forever
I am on a firm foundation
I am not alone
I am delivered
I am at peace in Him
I am His

It’s always a good time to reflect on who we are in Christ.

Sister, take a moment to thank your Saviour for the wonderful sense of peace and security you have in Him.

God bless you ❤️

Gather around our Saviour

The best moments are when we gather around our Saviour.

I felt incredibly blessed to be gathered with my precious sisters on Friday night.

As we created mosaic frames we reflected on the spiritual significance that these beautiful artworks reflect.

***Here’s a snippet of my talk***

“We don’t always understand what the Lord is doing in our lives. We also often get so caught up with what’s happening now and we lose sight of God’s grand plan – the beautiful masterpiece that He is creating from our lives. Today I want to remind you that God makes no mistakes.

From the moment we are saved the sanctification process begins whereby the Spirit of God works in us to change us to be more like Jesus.

As you look at the tiles used within mosaics some are vibrant and pretty, while others are deep and dark.

Some are not beautiful on their own, yet when they are carefully placed in a mosaic they can provide just the right definition required to make the grand mosaic pop out in beauty and vibrancy.

I feel like my life and your life is a bit like this. There are some dark tiles that have been placed in our paths. We may look back with regret at some situations that we have found ourselves in, and yet they were out of our control. Some hard times, trials, difficulties, challenges.

Things that we sometimes wish were not part of our story. But the truth is, while we live on this Earth, we need to expect that the dark tiles are going to be part of our lives. But as children of God we can be confident that God is sovereign over our lives and He is ultimately in control.

We can trust God to help us navigate through this life and that He has our ultimate best in mind. As our master mosaic artist, or potter as the Bible describes Him – He works together all the things that happen to us (the good and the bad) for good.” (Romans 8.28).

I hope this thought is a blessing and encouragement to you dear sis.

Keep your eyes on Jesus….He sees a masterpiece in you.

Love in Christ
Linda ❤️

New Journal

Each year on my birthday I start a new journal and this year is no exception.

It’s my special way of looking back on the past 12 months and praising God for the goodness of God in my life and the gift of life that He continues to give me.

I start a new page in a new journal and it’s symbolic that a new year of life has started for me and a fresh opportunity to surrender to the Lord and ask Him to use my one precious life for His purposes.

I strongly encourage you to incorporate a journal in your quiet times (if you don’t do so already).

There’s something so special about documenting your prayers, your scripture learnings and the feelings of your heart….and then looking back and seeing what the Lord has carried you through…it truly is a faith builder for me.

May the Lord richly bless you dear sister and perhaps when your best friend has a birthday you may consider buying her a journal and sharing this legacy with her….and perhaps a second one for you 😉

That’s my birthday wish for all my precious sisters out there.

With all my ❤️
Linda xo

As for me, I chose Jesus

Last week I had the honour of speaking @truenorthsummit in Sydney.

Here is a snippet from my talk:

“You get to choose what fragrance your life omits in your home, church, workplace and among your friendship circle.

You have a choice as to what kind of influence, what kind of impact you will have.

Ask yourself…how much of what you are focused on…passionate about and obsessed with…has eternity in view?

You have one precious life. How will you choose to live it?

One day Jesus is going to call you home to be with him and you will stand before your Maker.

The One who gave His life for you and you won’t be able to give account for your life by saying….

As for my parents…they were extremely godly.

As for my church…it was truly a wonderful Christ-centered church.

As for my upbringing….I faithfully attended Sunday school.

As for my friends….we never missed a youth meeting.

These are all beautiful things in your life…privileges and gifts that God has given you…but in heaven you will need to answer with “As for me”

As for me I surrendered my life to Christ.

As for me I lived a holy life.

As for me I won souls to salvation.

As for me I fought the fight.

As for me I started well but I also ended well.

As for me I stood against popular culture and ungodly practices.

As for me I stood in the gap.

As for me I resisted temptation.

As for me I helped others see Jesus through me.

As for me, I placed Jesus 1st and foremost in my life.

As for me I chose to be a sweet-smelling savour for Christ.

As for me, I chose Jesus.

What will you choose to do with your one precious life?”

“And walk in love, as Christ also hath loved us, and hath given himself for us an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweetsmelling savour” (Ephesians 5:2).

“Even every one that is called by my name: for I have created him for my glory, I have formed him; yea, I have made him” (Isaiah 43.7).

He is our Rock

Is there a more beautiful promise from the Lord than what we find in this portion of scripture?

He is our Rock. He is our protector. A strong tower and shelter.

He knows our thoughts and inner feelings. He sees every single challenge we pass through and is always ready to embrace us in the shelter of His wings.

He comforts us, heals us and send us on our way – with strength and perspective.

What a joy it is to walk all these years with my Saviour.

There is no need to fear or worry – He’s got you sis and He’s waiting for you daily to turn to Him.

Wishing you a most blessed week.

❤️ Linda

“Hear my cry, O God; Attend unto my prayer. From the end of the earth will I cry unto thee, When my heart is overwhelmed: Lead me to the rock that is higher than I. For thou hast been a shelter for me, and a strong tower from the enemy. I will abide in thy tabernacle for ever: I will trust in the covert of thy wings. Selah” (Psalm 61:1‭-‬4).

Feeling stressed or overwhelmed?

May I remind you today sweet sister that all you need to do in moments of overwhelm, is to keep your mind on Jesus.

Turn your eyes towards Jesus, He will give you His perfect perspective, peace and promises.

Psalm 121:1-2 “I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help. My help cometh from the Lord, which made heaven and earth.”

Heaven is like having a vacation in your calendar

“Heaven is like having a vacation in your calendar. When you know that heaven is on your future calendar, while you may not know when, it helps you deal with the present difficulties.” – Lee Strobel

How true is this!

@lee_strobel discusses this perspective on heaven in a recent @focusonthefamily episode and wow it blew me away.

He explains that when you’re having a hard time at work and you know that in a few weeks you’ll be heading off to Hawaii with your wife…suddenly your perspective shifts and you can handle the difficulties.

The same goes for us as born again Christians – when you truly believe in the finished work of the cross and that your eternity is sealed in Heaven, then you can look to the Lord in hard times and be comforted that one day soon it will be a faded memory and we will forever be praising our Saviour for all eternity.

What a lovely thought to ponder upon as we head into the weekend.

God bless you sweet sis ❤️

Start your week with Jesus

Are you struggling to start each week and day with Jesus, but really want to?

Here’s a tip.

Think of something you do every day without fail….

☕️ Morning coffee
🪥 Brush your teeth
💄 Beauty routine
📱 Call a friend
👶 Feed your baby
📖 Read to your kids
🚆 Travel to work

And then join your time with God to that activity. So have your quiet time with your morning coffee. Brush your teeth then immediately take some time out to be still before God. Read on the train. Feed your child then put them down for quiet play as you read your Bible.

Then you will find that your time with God will become part of your daily ritual.

Remember, when you miss time with Jesus you’re missing out on what you really need – His wisdom, His peace and His direction.

Without Jesus 1st in your life, you’ll find yourself dragging your feet through the motions of life instead of walking with Him moment by moment the way He intended.

Don’t forfeit the best thing in life, time at your beautiful Saviour’s feet.

It really is the most beneficial way to invest your time.

I’d love to hear from you. Where are you reading from now?

Love in Christ
Linda ❤️

Goal Planning Workshop

🙏 I’m praising God today for my church family and the beautiful ladies who gathered last night for a goal planning workshop.

Together we discussed what it means to redeem our time and live out God’s purposes and priorities in our daily lives.

We walked away with special goals to action over the coming days and weeks. I learned so much from these dear women who love Jesus so deeply and want to leave a legacy that’s Christ-centred and God-honouring.

Here is a snippet of my talk:

“Our lives and what we do with our time on a daily basis should reflect our purpose.

And our purpose must be grounded in His purpose and in the reason we were created.

Think to yourself – how does your schedule reflect your God-given purpose?

When we walk through life we can often lose sight of this simple yet profound truth – we belong to the King and we were created to glorify Him.

And unless we are fulfilling our intended purpose we will fail to experience the joy and peace that comes from living for our Creator.”

“Jesus says ‘come unto me’ and He promises to exchange fatigue with rest, stress with calm and fear with confidence.

Remember always….He is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think (Eph 3:20).

May we trust our perfect Saviour to show up in the details of our lives, helping us redeem the time He has given us and using us to make a difference in this world for eternity.

Never forget this….God has given you exactly the amount of time you need in order to do what He wants you to do.

He is faithful. Keep trusting Him!”

Isaiah 43.7
“Even every one that is called by my name: for I have created him for my glory, I have formed him; yea, I have made him”

Ephesians 2:10
“For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.”

Seek Ye First The Kingdom of God

The Biblical instruction from Jesus to seek first His kingdom is so profound and has had such a huge impact on my life.

When Jesus is first in our lives, everything (and I really mean everything) will fall into place.

We can trust Him sister. He must come first, and we must have the faith to trust that He has all the rest sorted.

God bless you ❤️

Matthew 6:30-34
“Wherefore, if God so clothe the grass of the field, which to day is, and to morrow is cast into the oven, shall he not much more clothe you, O ye of little faith?

Therefore take no thought, saying, What shall we eat? or, What shall we drink? or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed? (For after all these things do the Gentiles seek:) for your heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things.

But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.

Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof.”
